This privacy policy applies to the Athan & Adkar (أذان وأذكار) Android app (package name: com.duncled.athanazkar) developed by duncled.

Information We Collect Directly

Athan & Adkar does not collect, store, or share any personal information directly. The app functions entirely offline for its core features. No user accounts, registration, analytics, or tracking services are implemented by the developer. All app data — including prayer progress, calculation method preferences, and theme settings — is stored locally on your device using Room database and SharedPreferences, and never leaves your device unless you choose to sign in with Google for cloud sync.

Internet Permission

The app requests the INTERNET permission for the following purposes:

• Prayer Times API — The app fetches accurate prayer times from the Aladhan API. If no internet is available, it falls back to offline astronomical calculations.
• Hijri Date API — The app fetches Hijri calendar data from the Aladhan API with local caching.
• Firebase Authentication & Firestore — Only used if you sign in with Google to sync your preferences across devices.
• Ad serving — Required by Google AdMob to fetch and display advertisements.

Advertising (AdMob)

This app uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. AdMob may automatically collect certain information to serve relevant ads, including:

• Device advertising ID (AAID / IDFA)
• IP address
• Device type and operating system version
• General location (not precise GPS)
• App interactions and usage data for ad performance

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. The developer does not access or store this data.

Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads

AdMob may serve personalized ads based on your interests. You can control this:

• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
• Within the app: You may see a consent dialog if you are in the EEA or UK.

GDPR / EEA Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you will be asked to provide consent for personalized advertising before ads are served. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via your device settings.

Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google, your preferences and prayer progress are synced to Firebase Firestore for cross-device access. You can disable sync at any time by signing out. Your data is never shared with third parties.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing contact@duncled.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can delete it.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect any data processed through the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

Any updates to this privacy policy will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
